Rich USA – Reduced to zero level
Katrina Hurricane, the word itself throws shivers to US, especially to New Orleans. The devastation that it has cause, some estimates may take 2-3 yrs to fully recover. The need of the hour is to extend help so that people don’t suffer due to mal nutrition and anarchy.
Rich country like the US has failed to bring situation under control, if similar thing would have happened to a 3rd world country like India, the survival rate would have been much less.
What strikes is that, the sudden change in the climate that we see in different countries these days seem to be cumulative effect of our growing pollution and indiscriminate use of natural resources by humans species. It feels as if the coming years will take revenge to the un-healthy things that we are doing on earth.
Mr. Bush seems to have realized the gravity of the situation much late and the actions taken by him seem to be hollow. His popularity is on decline makes the matter worse for him.
God's watching each one of us, and natural calamity is his way of saying that we are going beyond our limits.
The body of a dead man rests on a lawn chair as other flood victims pass by at the Convention Center in New Orleans.
